Hello hurricane, you’re not enough
Hello hurricane, you can’t silence my love...

Doubting
I have the privilege to give a talk on an 8th grade Confirmation retreat about the Eucharist. I was thrilled when I first found out because I love the Eucharist. But for a long time I’ve been struggling with what to say.
I feel like I can’t tone down all this theology into something they will be able to understand, I feel like I’m gonna overwhelm them and possibly turn them off...

A girl I went to high school got into a severe car accident at 3 am. She was driving, over corrected and went across the street and hit a tree so hard her car split in half. She wasn’t wearing her seatbelt. She’s in critical condition. She’s a really sweet girl and I want her to pull through so bad.
Please pray for her

You just have to touch one life about this issue…just one. I took a friend of mine to a Pro-Life rally @ my University and after adoration, she said she ha a conversion about the whole issue.

Where is the Love?
That was the theme that we had on Spring Retreat this past weekend and it was amazing.
Last retreat (Fall ‘11) I went in with too many expectations, it was a great retreat and I got a lot out of it but I wanted to go in with an open heart and an open mind this time.
Personally, I love public speaking. Last March I gave a talk on a retreat at my High School and essentially it was a talk on...

GAP
I mentioned before that Genocide Awareness Project came to my University and I had the privilege to volunteer and get to know them.
The setup was a giant circle of graphic images of abortion with some protesters off on the side. I spoke with two girls that were protesting and they genuinly wanted to help women but it seemed they just didn’t want to believe the fetus inside is a life. I was...
Friends, Romans, countrymen, LENT me your ears!
Prayer request!
Hey guys! So I’m about to head off to Spring Retreat here at my University, sadly I will not be able to write about my experience with GAP until I come back on Sunday.
Keep our retreat in your prayers and I will be sure to pray for all of you!
May the peace of Our Lord guide you and keep you :)
Guys,
I just came back from hanging out with Stephanie Gray and GAP, they’re all so cool!!! I’ll write a post on how the discussions went through the two days later on; as for now I am off to bed :)

New Way To Find Catholic Tumblrs

Tonight I searched for the tag “Take back the tag.” Every single blog that came up was Catholic.
Whoever had the “Take back the tag” brainstorm, you have been a blessing in many ways.
We are Catholic, hear us roar like the lions they try to feed us to.

St. Ignatius of Loyola Has The Most Beautiful Way... →
kindnessalwaysmatters:
The Goal of our life is to live with God forever. God, who loves us, gave us life. Our own response of love allows God’s life to flow into us without limit. All the things in this world are gifts from God, Presented to us so that we can know God more easily and make a return of love more readily. As a result, we appreciate and use all these gifts of God Insofar as they...

I'm everything and nothing all at once
This is a very important paradox. We have free will and can do anything that we want, but without God we are nothing. We can’t let our free will feed or pride; it is only with the Lord that we can move mountains, it is only on the straight and narrow path that we will come to know who we are.
Apparently there is a satire of the "Catholic...
I just took a look through it and I’ll admit it was pretty offensive….le sigh.

The Presentation of Jesus
The Priest was talking about the Gospel at Mass a few weeks ago, which was the presentation of Our Lord. In the temple, both Simeon and Anna confessed Jesus to be the Messiah, but the Priest brought up something interesting…who listened to them? Did anyone believe them? Then he mentioned that here we are 2012 years later and still no one is listening to what Simeon and Anna said in that...
I'm so conflicted lol
So lately I’ve been feeling a strong call to Priesthood, but while at Walmart and Target I saw two little kids that made me really want to have a family again…I’ll figure this out…..eventually lol
Avoiding Patterns of Sin
matchlessgrace:
A tumblr friend of mine (nonjeneregrette) suggested that I write about avoiding sin that is “tolerated” or seen as “normal” for my generation. Let me preface this by saying I’m not above these struggles, but I’ll just share what I’ve noticed and what my thought process is in conquering some of them.
What do teenagers struggle with in terms of patterns of sin?

Hey tumblr Catholics
becomingmorethirsty:
Next time the Catholic tag gets troll-y and filled with hate, I propose we Catholics post a litany of saints. All it has to be is: a saints name, pray for us
It wouldn’t take long for us to re-take our tag, and hey, we might even be inspired to learn about new saints.
I love it
This weekend I went on yet another Awakening...

The entire weekend was incredible, and the pinnacle of the experience was the closing Mass.
I CRIED SO MUCH DURING MASS. First I teared up during Father’s amazing homily, and as soon as the Liturgy of the Eucharist started, I was a gonner.
You guys, God loves us so much that he becomes what looks like a tiny piece of bread. GOD. The Creator of the universe. The great I...

Is it just me, or is there Catholic-bashing everywhere we turn nowadays? Sometimes I wonder if I took a break from Tumblr, maybe I wouldn’t be so aware of it… but I don’t even think that’s true. It’s even on Facebook- which until lately, had been a relatively peaceful place. What’s with all of this hate?
